1. September 2026: free for everyone, and a research study

   September 2026

   Greenroom is now free for every educator, and it doubles as the tool for an optional research study.

   What we built

   • +Greenroom is free, with no paid tier. Every scenario, every practice partner, and full coaching are open to everyone.
   • +An optional research study asks whether practicing these conversations changes how confident faculty feel. It's opt-in only, and it's reviewed by an institutional review board (IRB) before it opens.
   • +A term reflection that looks back across your rehearsals and describes how your practice has grown.

   Trust & safety

   • ✓You can download your data or delete your account at any time from your Account page.
   • ✓Using Greenroom never enrolls you in the study. Joining is a separate choice, and you can withdraw at any time.

2. Version 1.0

   June 2026

   Ready for pilot: the first version faculty can really use, built and tested end to end.

   What we built

   • +A private place to rehearse the hard conversations in teaching, with a practice partner who responds like a real student, and specific, encouraging coaching right afterward.
   • +Make it your own: turn a real situation you're facing into a rehearsal, and choose which student you practice with.
   • +Stay on track: gentle reminders timed to your term, a simple picture of your growth over time, and an optional way to help our research, all yours to turn on or off.

   Trust & safety

   • ✓Your practice is private. Your rehearsals are encrypted before they're saved, no one reads them, and there's no tool for browsing them.
   • ✓Greenroom never asks for student information. It doesn't want it, the practice partner steers you toward roles instead of names, and scenarios you write are cleaned of names and places automatically.
   • ✓Your data is yours. Nothing is shared with your college, nothing is sold, and you can export or delete it whenever you want.
